Why it works

A balanced exfoliating gel cleanser with a multi-acid blend (AHAs and BHA), niacinamide (B3) and soothing botanicals. It cleanses away impurities and excess oil, gently polishes away dull surface buildup, refines the look of pores and leaves skin clean, comfortable and ready for the rest of your routine.

  • AHA trio

    Glycolic, lactic and mandelic acids, three alpha hydroxy acids, gently loosen and lift dull surface buildup to smooth texture and brighten the look of skin.

  • BHA

    Salicylic acid, an oil-soluble beta hydroxy acid (BHA), cleanses away excess oil and surface debris to refine the look of pores, for a smoother, more refined-looking complexion.

  • Niacinamide (B3)

    A well-loved form of vitamin B3 that helps maintain the moisture barrier, softens the look of redness and visibly evens skin tone for a smoother-looking complexion.

  • Soothing botanicals

    A comforting blend of mugwort (artemisia), sea fennel (crithmum), meadowsweet and plantain helps skin feel calm and balanced as you cleanse, so it feels fresh, not stripped, after rinsing.

Product information and application

When to use

  • Use either morning or evening
  • Start 2โ€“3 times per week, then increase frequency as tolerated

How to apply

  • Apply a small amount to damp skin. Gently massage over skin for no more than 20โ€“30 seconds, avoiding the eye area
  • Rinse thoroughly (best used in the shower to ensure complete removal)

Layering and compatibility

  • Not intended as a daily cleanser or makeup remover
  • Use as your exfoliation step before serums and moisturizer
  • Avoid using other exfoliating acids in the same routine
  • On exfoliation days, follow with hydrating or barrier-supportive products
  • Lean on your serums more often on non-exfoliation days if needed

Things to know

  • This product contains alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) that may increase your skinโ€™s sensitivity to sunlight. Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen and limit sun exposure while using this product and for one week after discontinuing use
  • Overuse may cause irritation or dryness. Avoid use on broken, irritated or post-procedure skin
